PUNCTUALITY.

                         Punctuality applies to a student as well as to a worker. Only a few are bothered about this fact. We should not just idle. We should get the maximum use of the time available to us. They say that the early bird catches the worm. Likewise we must attend to our tasks in time and not on time.                       In educational institutions as well as in offices Punctuality counts a lot. In an office if the workers delay their tasks the general public will have to face inconvenience. On certain times, we have to oil the palm of the respective officers to get matters expedited. There is hardly anyone to air our grievances at certain departments.                        Birds are flying creatures. They have wings and feathers which help them to fly. Their are wings are very strong. The feathers keep them warm. Not all the birds can fly. There are some birds that can not fly. They have feathers but the wings are very small. However they can run. For example Penguin that lives in the northern regions can not fly. SHANTY DWELLERS.

                     In every nook and corner of this globe there are Shanty Dwellers. It is an acute problem for nation as well as to a government in power. It is a burden to a country. There should be a solution for this which should not be kept in the cold storage. Plots of land should be given under a land distribution scheme for a decent living of the mankind.                    In these areas small scale industries or Cultivation should be provided for the Shanty Dwellers to make their living free. Free education should be made available even to the poorest. Basic facilities should also be there for the inhabitants in the new areas in the industries and trades, that they are engaged in. RUINED CITIES IN SRI LANKA.

                          There are several ruined cities in Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Yapahuwa and Panduwasnuwara are some of them.                          Anuradhapura is regarded as the first capital of Sri Lanka. According to the history it has bees founded by King Pandukabhaya in 380 B.C. Our great historical chronicle Mahawansa says that Anuradhapura was a well planned city.                          Anuradhapura is one of most sacred places because there is a branch of the sacred Bo tree under which the Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment more than 2500 years ago. PANDITH W.D. AMARADEWA.

              He is a world famous singer, a university lecturer, a lyricist and the musician of the Maldives national anthem. According to the birth certificate his name is mentioned as Wanakkuwaththamitiwaduge Don Albert Perera. He was born in Moratuwa in 5th of December in 1927. He is the son of Mr.Don Ginoris Perera and Mrs. Baalaapuwaduge Magee Weslina Mendis , a Catholic lady.               He has done a great service to the field of Music. KING RAWANA.

               King Rawana was a devotee of Shiva and Shakthi who ruled the ceylon Empire. According the Ramayana, Rama absucts his wife Sitha in relatiantion for his disgrsce to his sister .             King Rawana's mother's name is Pushpothkatha and his farther's name is Pulasthi Srishivara. His wife is princess Mandodari. Rawana has two children. They are prince Indrajith and princess Shohili.                King Rawana is considered as one of the greatest king in the history of  Sri Lanka.The villagers  believe that he was in an advanced place of mysticium but is still not dead but is sleeping in madicine boat in Rawana Cave.
